We Are all about di-vêrsé-city
Two versions of the annual anthology of poetry, di-vêrsé-city, are published annually to coincide with the Austin International Poetry Festival: one for adults and one for youth (K-12 students).
Adult Submissions (poets of majority age)
Submissions open on September 15, 2021 and close on February 15, 2022
Poets submitting poetry must go through the AIPF registration process.
The Register button below starts the registration process by gathering demographic data we need for reports to agencies who provide grants to API, then links to Submittable (an independent submissions platform). The submission fee, if any, is billed by Submittable.
See Submissions Guidelines sub-tab for mandatory format of submitted poems.
Poets are not required to attend the Festival in order to submit poems for the anthology.
Poets who have a poem published in the anthology are invited to read the poem during the annual anthology launch and receive a complimentary copy of the anthology. If such poet does not attend the festival, the complimentary copy will be mailed to the U S. address listed in our files within 30-45 days of the Festival’s closing. If the address in our files is not within the U.S., an electronic copy will be sent to the poet unless the poet pays for shipping and handling.
Print copies of the anthology are available through our online store ($15.00)
