AIPF versus Coronavirus
Virtual AIPF on the Way?
We at AIPF have been struggling with issues surrounding the pandemic for several months - hasn't everyone? Way back in late Spring of last year (right after AIPF-2020 was cancelled) we had every hope we'd have a clear path to AIPF-2021. Even as 2020 started winding down, there was hope, dwindling as it was, Well, you all know how things have gone - even plans for outdoor readings have been put on hold; We're sure our founders, exemplified by John Berry (above) would be distraught. We are also sure that they'd say, don't let another year go by without AIPF. So, with the turn of the calendar year, we've begun planning for a virtual AIPF. Details are a bit sketchy at this point, but the dates will be the same (April 9th and 10th), the cast of invited poets will be the same, the poetry will be just as fantastic. We will still have panels on self-publishing, measures of success, performance, websites and blogs, and innovative types of poetry, as well as workshops on several topics and readings from last year's Tribute and Coronavirus anthologies. Will you join us?

Oh, yes... we are still publishing our annual anthology, di-vêrsé-city. If you are registered to attend the virtual festival, there will be no charge to submit a poem, otherwise the submission fee will be reduced to $10 to cover the cost of the youth anthology we publish simultaneously. And, time will be reserved for you to read your poem during the festival.
Stay healthy and continue to write as though you mean it.
