We are currently scouting locations for the Austin International Poetry Festival on April 9-12, 2015. Venues come in all shapes and sizes and so does each event at our festival. We match venues with events. Click here to check out last year's festival program if you'd like a flavor of the venues and a flow of the events. We need you to signup for at least one 1 to 2 hour event and preferably a couple or few more. Events are poetry readings, open mics, music & poetry, slam poetry, free writing, or a great gathering of the minds.
Venue confirmation is December 15, 2015.
Festival goers will come to your business. If you sell stuff, they will buy stuff from you. This year's festival we will be purchasing a 4 page center spread in the Austin Chronicle and print our entire schedule which includes times and venue location. Just by being an Official AIPF Venue you will be listed here for each event. This will bring people to you. We also will have very special venue advertising rates in our Austin Chronicle 4 page center spread. If you are a current Austin Chronicle advertiser, unfortunately this won't apply to you. Instead you can purchase a half price ad in our Festival Program. Each venue receives an Official AIPF Venue sign for display on premises three weeks before the festival through the festival. You will be listed as an Official AIPF Venue on all print and web materials and we will include a link back to your website for the entire year.
To confirm your venue as an Official Austin International Poetry Festival Venue please email firstname.lastname@example.org
