Special Thanks for our Sponsors
The Austin International Poetry Festival's long-standing reputation as a top-quality poetry festival has contributed to Austin's reputation as a haven for the literary arts. The popularity of poetry as a literary art form has surged over the last five years, not only in Austin, but around the world. Thousands of poets are reading their work at art centers, coffee shops, bookstores, museums, galleries, and universities every week. In Austin alone, poets regularly read at over twenty locations throughout the year.
We would like to invite you to join us as a sponsor in the 16th annual Austin International Poetry Festival. Slam, performance, romantic, spiritual, gay and lesbian poetry, urban, and multicultural poetry will once again come to life April 10-13, 2008.
The 16th AIPF will be a celebration of readings by poets from around the world. We are very proud that we have the distinction of being the largest unjuried poetry festival in the world and we welcome the opportunity to share our dynamic and beautiful city.
AIPF is a 501c (3) non-profit arts organization primarily funded by a grant from the City of Austin. Most of our budget goes to minimal honoraria for invited poets.
In addition to the Festival, we publish a youth anthology and hold programs for senior citizens. As a result, our budget is very limited. The best way to reach us is via e-mail at email link -- aipfinfo@aipf.org.
We would welcome the opportunity to visit with you personally to answer questions or provide additional information. We are, of course, open to any suggestions regarding the details of a proposed sponsorship.
